Client: the Pearl Church
Location: Denver, Colorado
Statistics: 5,000 s.f. addition

The Pearl Church’s vision is to “build a vibrant, life giving Church for this generation in the Denver Metro Area, where people of all races, backgrounds, and socio-eco status can experience God’s grace, rally in community and champion the cause of Christ together”.

They acquired the iconic Calvary Temple building on the corner of University Boulevard and Alameda Boulevard in 2017 and soon realized that the original building lobby was insufficient to accommodate their community and growth.  They retained jigsaw design in late 2019 to develop a concept for a new lobby addition that would not only provide gathering space for their members before and after services, but would also serve the community with meeting spaces, event spaces and a small coffee shop.

jigsaw design presented a concept package for both the interior and exterior of the new lobby which included this rendering of a curved, predominately glass addition with a roof deck and clearly defined new entrance.

This project is currently on hold while The Pearl Church tends to the needs of their congregation and community in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
